The demigod is a granted power to the Milletians because of the Deities influence.
The First Demigod power came from Neamhain,Goddess of Light, because Cai's influence of Caliburn's (Lugh's) power. He used that power to try ressurect Leymore from death, but his body was too frail to handle Lugh's power and became unstable.
Afterward, Neamhain used her power to try awaken the Caliburn. However, Cichol interrupts using Elatha, Neamhain's son, as a "sacrifice" for a second Nortiar Arat, becoming Cai's Doppelganger's Shadow. Before doing so, he depends on his remains and the fate of the Soul Stream saved, and hands the Milletian over Elatha's Music Box, a copy of Andras'. The Caliburn is gone, and what remains is Nortiar Arat.
Nortiar Arat then clones to the Milletian, as he absorbs the Light within Nortiar Arat, then vanquishes it.
Demigod has a complex upgrade system. It ranks by itself as the user levels or rebirths. However, it deranks when the user abuses the ability of Demigod too much.

Neamhain's true energy. It poses the form of Demigod, and contains a widespread of abilities:

Spear of Light:
An initiative spear that launches a powerful, destructive force of Light. It acts like Ice Spear and Fireball: A path to explosion. However, it can be used without an enemy (though you actually need an enemy within the range). Cooldown is 15 seconds.
Fury of Light:
A mobbing skill that creates an aura which shoots a volley of light rays, landing on the opponents spot (which means they can dodge before the impact). The aura stays around for 12 seconds, but has a cooldown of 1 minute.
